Should Explosion-proof Measures Be Taken For Shot Blasting Machines?

Whether the shot blasting machine needs to take some explosion-proof measures depends on the operating environment, workpiece type, and usage requirements of the equipment. If explosive dust is generated during the shot blasting process of the workpiece, or there is a risk of explosion in certain environmental conditions, then it is necessary to take some explosion-proof measures to avoid or prevent explosions.
If explosion-proof measures are taken for the shot blasting machine, the specific measures are as follows:
(1) The surface of the dust collector body of the shot blasting machine is not painted, and the body has a discharge port. On the dust bag, a conductive filter bag containing metal wire should be selected. In addition, grounding treatment is carried out at the flange of the dust removal duct, and a one-way check valve is installed on the inlet side of the duct.
(2) The shot blasting machine body is grounded, the fan motor is explosion-proof, and leakage protectors are installed on the circuit breakers in various parts.
