Introduction

Purpose and Working Principle of the Road Shot Blasting Machine

The road shot blasting machine is designed for surface cleaning and strengthening of pavements and horizontal substrates. It utilizes a motor-driven blasting wheel, which produces centrifugal and airflow forces through high-speed rotation to propel abrasive media (steel shot) onto the working surface.

Working Principle:

Abrasive Feeding and Acceleration
Abrasives of a specified particle size enter the machine via the shot inlet pipe, with the flow rate precisely controlled. The abrasives are then introduced into the high-speed rotating blasting wheel.
Under the effect of centrifugal force, the projectiles are propelled outward through the window of the shot wheel, entering the directional sleeve, which controls the throwing direction.

Blasting and Surface Impact
The abrasives are picked up by high-speed rotating blades, continuously accelerated along the blade length, and finally thrown out to form a fan-shaped blasting stream.
This stream impacts the surface, effectively removing contaminants and enhancing the substrate through mechanical treatment.

Recycling and Separation
After impact, the spent abrasives, dust, and impurities pass through the rebound chamber and are directed to the top of the storage hopper.
A high-power dust collector then activates a separation unit, which separates reusable shot from dust and debris:

Steel shot falls into the hopper for recycling.

Dust and fine impurities are extracted through a connecting pipe into the dust collector.

Dust Filtration and Cleaning
Inside the dust collector, dust is trapped by filter elements and settles in the ash hopper or remains on the filter surface.
An automatic pulse back-blowing system periodically cleans the filters using compressed air, ensuring consistent dust removal efficiency.

Vacuum Cleaning and Reuse
A vacuum system completes the cleaning cycle by removing any remaining contaminants inside the machine.
Cleaned steel shot and impurities are separated, allowing the shot to be reused, reducing material waste.
